Online Catalog Presents Upscale Home Furnishings in Style

Houston-based Frontier Outfitters — an upscale southwestern home furnishings catalog — had already developed a strong brand image and a solid reputation. What they were looking for however, was an improved customer online catalog experience along with better response and conversion rates. They turned to LHA/World to help them meet their online catalog goals.

The Challenge
The target audience was predominantly affluent women over age 50 looking for exclusive products and a total custom decor solution for their hotel, ranch, or home. In addition to refining the overall presentation of the online catalog, we wanted to include new elements designed to improve the user experience while increasing response and conversion rates at the same time. We also wanted to leverage the Frontier Outfitters reputation and national media-mentions knowing that this alone can increase the length of customer visits and conversion rates by up to 45%.

The Solution
The redesign incorporates the color scheme of the southwestern product lines using an elegant approach. The Frontier Outfitters reputation and national media-mentions were leveraged by including an “As seen in…” element. A system is now in place for Ratings and Comments, along with Testimonials, Featured Products, Guarantees and enhanced Customer Service options. Also included on the home page are areas to sign up for the print catalog and exclusive offers… all adding up to a solid success.
